When info has been handed down as oral or written tradition, it is important that the reader understands this. Even tho it is risky to post rumor or conjecture, the collaboration that it is yielding is proving to be overpowering.
I publish my research because I know I have cousins with additional info & insight. If this applies to you, then please contact me; and together we can piece together the many mysteries of our past. It is my pleasure to share. All I ask is that you understand and assume the risks in working with my notes, mentioned above.
There are two key contributors (family historians) to my work. One is Margaret Shelton Hair (b. 3 Jul 1877, wife of James Hair & daughter of Stephen Shelton b. 1851 and Margaret T. Bonner). The other is Margaret Shelton Kinsey (b. 12 Jun 1875, wife of James Kinsey & daughter of John Shelton b. 1839 and Mary Morton b. 1849). I am very appreciative of their work.
It is the policy & the goal to maintain a copyright-compliant and safe-for-kids website. This is a nonprofit site established for the use of family and friends interested in our history.
