Robert CUNNINGHAM is the brother of Margaret who married John MORTON. I do not yet know where Robert was born but Margaret was born on 19 Sep 1815 in Campsie, Baldernock Parish, Sterlingshire, Scotland. Robert's parents are Allen CUNNINGHAM & Elizabeth MARSHALL. John MORTON & Margaret CUNNINGHAM came to America on the vessel Tuscarora in 1857. When they settled in Provo Valley (Midway, Utah) in 1863, Robert was already there.
In 1883, Margaret's daughter-in-law, Fanny Lucretia WARDLE (wife of her son, John MORTON Jr.) died, leaving two small children. John Jr. was then called on a mission to the southern states and his mother, Margaret, kept the children during his absence. Margaret died 27 Jan 1896 in Midway, Utah. Robert was with the Midway Fort String. He married Margaret WRIGHT, youngest child of Robert & Janet Stevenson WRIGHT. Robert's wife, Margaret, died in September 1866 at Midway, Utah. (HOWB)
