Henry Miles ALEXANDER is the nephew of Alvah & the son of Alvah's brother, Henry S. ALEXANDER. Margaret BONNER's brother, George III married Phebie ALEXANDER, daughter of Alvah J. ALEXANDER and Elizabeth SOULE. Henry Miles ALEXANDER's daughter, Mary Jane ALEXANDER married, George SHELTON.
Henry Miles ALEXANDER was born on 20 Sep 1852 in South Mill Creek, Utah. He is the oldest child of Henry Samuel ALEXANDER & Sarah MILES. He married Sarah Jane ROSS on 22 Jul 1872. The couple settled in Midway, Utah, where they ran a store. They later moved to Heber, Utah. Henry was an excellent carpenter. Henry & Sarah had 12 children: Sarah Miles, Minnie Maud, Henry Samuel, Susan Lavernia, Mary Jane, Florence Ione, Charles Sterling, James Jackson, Lelia May, J. Monroe, George Albert & William Ray ALEXANDER. Henry also married Sarah Jane ROSS, daughter of James Jackson ROSS and Susan Luvernia ROBEY of West Virginia. Sarah Jane ROSS is the grandaughter of Melvin ROSS & Rebecca SMITH. Stephen SHELTON is said to have crossed the plains with Melvin ROSS. Henry Miles ALEXANDER died 26 February 1902 while on a visit to Vernal, Utah. (HOWB,p699)
