Introduction: PP9 Abigail HARRIS is my second great grandmother. She is the wife of Stephen SHELTON. Their son, John, is my great grandfather.
Abigail was born 6 May 1818 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is the daughter of John HARRIS & Abigail GRAGG. Abigail first married a Mr. GOFORTH & had a daughter, Nancy Sarilda. They divorced. Abigail second married Stephen SHELTON. Stephen's first wife, Nancy BROWN, died in about 1833. He married Abigail abt 1835. Stephen & Abigail had the following children: John, Elizabeth, Martha Jane, Joseph, Hyrum, Stephen & Abigail. Abigail HARRIS died 20 Feb 1889 in Vernal, Utah.
