Fannie (sometimes known as Frances) is the daughter of Edwin Ralph WARDLE (1848) & Elizabeth Orinda THOMPSON (1948). She was the seventh of ten children. Both her mother and her father were born on the plains of Wyoming, enroute to Utah. Both parents were children of Mormon pioneers.

Stephen Morton Shelton & Fannie Adelia Wardle had the following children: Mary Louisa SHELTON (1901); John Edwin SHELTON (1903); Clara SHELTON (1906); Jennie Belle SHELTON (1909); Leonard Aaron SHELTON (1914); Winona (Mickey) SHELTON (1918) & Theora SHELTON (1923).
Fannie's husband, Steve, died in 1945. In about 1955 she married Frank MAYHEW. The divorced. She then married Lee YEADON on 13 April 1957, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lee died 27 February 1968. Fannie Adelia WARDLE Shelton Mayhew Yeadon died on 8 March 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was buried on 11 Mar 1971 in City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.Her tombstone reads: "Fannie W. SHELTON YEADON 1882-1971". She is buried between her husbands, Lee & Stephen.
I've got lots of good memories of Grandma Shelton. She was known for her clean and tidy home. She was also known for the way she dressed. She always wore the finest clothing, even when we had picnics, Grandma Shelton would dress up. She liked hats.
