Fanny RUSHTON (P 13) was born 24 Nov 1821 in Leek, Staffordshire, England. She is the daughter of Richard RUSHTON & Lettice JOHNSON. Fanny was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) in 1840, when she was nineteen. Her parents were baptized at the same time. She married George WARDLE on 24 Jun 1842 at the parish church at Leek, England. Two weeks later she sailed with her new husband & her brother on the ship "Hope of Duxbury" and settled in Nauvoo, Illinois. Fanny's first two children were born and died in Nauvoo. Her third died across the river in Iowa. Fanny's husband, George WARDLE, left her for a time in order to assist with the first group of pioneers to cross the plains in 1847. He returned to Winter Quarters that October where he was reunited with Fanny. Fanny arrived in Utah in 1848. She lived in Salt Lake, Provo & Midway. She died 9 Mar 1881 at Midway, Utah.
